I. Introductions / New People
· Chris Damren is a volunteer at Recruitment Resources
· Kevin Loechner is a newly sworn in VISTA at New Beginnings
· Mbanyick Njie is a graduate student currently assigned
to the CTC at the Center for Family, and Community
II. Announcements / Updates
· New Beginnigs as finished a self-paced training
manual for basic office apps. The manual (s) are a series
of real-word examples supported by how-to documentation. Resource
is ideal for someone who has gone through basic training in
Word or Excel and needs practical hands on that is facilitated.
The manuals are available to others in the Consortium. Contact

· CFWC now has their PowerUp lab installed.
Afterschool program will begin soon. Looking to train parents
who need Spanish language support. Will be connecting up with
the International Institute of Greater Lowell and would like
to host next open LCTC mtg.
· YWCA has begun its Surfing Senior program
with lots of enthusiasm.
· Recruitment Resources is presenting a workshop
on CTCs and workforce development at the Boston Buisness Expo.
Huge event. Working on website (http://www.rrc-online.org
) and you can now apply online for classes. Powerup lab is
installed with a few glitches in the AOL versions
· Family Resource Center has a logo contest
for the Merrimack Valley Hub (http://www.mvhub.com
) an online resource for accessing NPO info. Right now price
is a night at the Doubletree and dinner plus 2 tickets to
the MRT. Gala grand opening of the event will be on 12/4 at
UML conference room near CFWC. Need to know if there are additions
and calendar of events would be great eventually
· Other Issues - recycling program has begun
to give out computers. Awaiting work on ACC Field Innovation
Grants. Need to find out status of Groove and crashing from
Chris McClure. CTCNet Leadership Dev. Institute is a valuable
resource for those interested. Change quarterly retreat to
January.
III. MVHub.com: An Overview to the Site (
· Online resource guide to NPO services / programs
· Jane Benfey along with Kevin Mullen, Maryellen McCeleny,
Cristi Lemon and others have been working on this for quite
awhile.
· Very successful collaboration
· Toolbox of info online in hopes to make better refferals
· Working out bugs, looking for folks to update info
· Once it is launched and training is available. Hope
to make this part of NPO info routine
