Software· MS Office 2000 Professional Special · open computer access · digital camera TrainingNew Beginnings offers supervised self-paced tutorials in Typing, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. We also offer seminars in "Introduction to Computers" and "Introduction to the Internet". Admission to the training is rolling. All people who want to take advantage of the trainings must attend a two-part orientation (each part is about an hour). Orientations are offered every other week, so call to find out when the next one starts. FeesAll services are free. Members are asked to volunteer 1 hour a week.
FutureNew Beginnings plans to update its self-paced training to make it more relevant to people's needs (personal finance, family health, etc.). New Beginnings has had much success with the Project Base Microsoft Word training, and is hoping to have a project-based training for Excel completed by February 2003. Classroom-style courses may also be available in the future to supplement the self-guided tutorials currently offered at the center. |
