Digital Communications This class is expressly made for those with enthusiasm, but little or no practical experience with computers. The class will also demonstrate the variety of tools available in this new era of digital communication. It is designed to introduce the basics of working with the core of technology: computer overview, word processing and Internet use. Digital Imaging Basics Digital images are everywhere todayWeb sites, email, magazines and television all use computer drafted graphics. Think of this class as a primer to that world of creative possibilities! The focus of Digital Imaging Basics is learning about the systems and software used to create these images: digital cameras, scanners, and photo editing software. Field Production Field Production includes the basic digital video-camera and lighting skills needed to shoot video footage in the field. The proper use of microphones, camera controls and handling, and 3-point lighting are taught here. Basic Nonlinear Editing This class is designed for those who are proficient in making video footage with a camera. This course uses Apple's iMovie software for editing, adding titles and music to create a finished program from the raw footage. Digital Media Presentation Digital Media Presentation is an introduction to Scala's InfoChannel Designer, a program used to integrate digital media elements. After combining still-images, audio and animation, then adding text, transitions and special effectsa compelling presentation takes shape. |
